Sonya Trolliet, born in 1990, lives and works in Lausanne (VD), Switzerland.
She obtained a BA in Visual Arts from Édhéa in Sierre in 2012 and an MA in Editorial - Illustration - Comics from the Ceruleum school of visual arts in June 2023.
Her work revolves around clumsiness, feelings of otherness, feminism, stones, the body and micro-organisms. Experimentation plays a key role.
She is currently working on a number of visual and theatrical projects, while writing and illustrating her first graphic novel, Vivant.es.
In 2024, a residency in Iceland gives her an opportunity to develop her personal work.
She won the Prix Sept for graphic novel, which enabled her to produce a comic book reportage project in collaboration with Editions Sept and the Sylvie Rusconi Foundation.
